Part experiment and part entertainment, the Encyclawpedia Dictatia was a joint effort between Josh D. Weiss and Anaiis Rabiela to see how AI tools could be used to expedite workflow for creative projects.
Roughly 30 entries were created with the aid of Midjourney and ChatGPT. Copy was prompted as an academic writeup for each dictator and then augmented by Anaiis with assorted jokes and puns.
The site itself received visits from around the world and was even highlighted in The Daily Moscow.
The project also served as a fundraiser for Amnesty International.
